How NO2SPAM® Works

Safeserve No2Spam® offers you a multi-layered spam defence, holding on to spam at source and stopping it from reaching your company email server or servers. A Safeserve-initiated redirect of your MX records routes all of your company's messages to a data centre in the Safeserve national network.

Spam Prevention

At Safeserve, we employ several layers of technology to prevent spam from entering your network. Our special email traffic analysis technology quickly detects the slightest anomaly in email traffic. In addition, we use IP-based authentication to ensure that your email is coming from a known sender. Finally, we employ our unique reputation database which includes ever growing lists of the most of the most blatant spammers.

How do we do it?

Safeserve uses several techniques and levels of message analysis to protect your company network from spam.

These include fingerprinting technology which takes a "digital picture" of each message and matches it against known profiles of spam messages.

Then there’s our rules-based scoring in which messages are scored against our database of spam rules, assigning scores to messages based on more than 20,000 unique characteristics of spam versus legitimate email. The moment a score reaches a pre-defined threshold, it is flagged as spam.

In addition to these, you can also opt for our FMS (Filter Management System) which provides an additional layer of protection from messages such as web bugs and embedded HTML and JavaScript tags.

We quarantine all spam offsite for 3 months. Safeserve’s spam quarantine review is simple and effective, allowing your email administrator or end users to review quarantined messages.
